Yeah Untold is the name of the 3DS remakes of EO and EO2 on the western markets.
It was a full on remake. Added a story mode (optional), 2 extra classes (Gunner which was retrofited from EO2 and Highlander which was completely new), dungeon map layouts were changed, whole game was rebalanced and skill trees completely changed, added new features such as the grimoire system, an extra dungeon (story mode only), added voice acting and 3D enemy models, added quality of life functions such as floor jumping between cleared maps to fast travel inside the labyrinth...
Untold story mode was fine. The map changes were minor, only the boss floors got reworked entirely.
Highlander and Gunner were overpowered, but that's because they were for story characters only. You only get access to them in classic mode once you've beaten the game in story mode. Even then, they were only available through class-changing.
I don't get the disdain for Untold. Maybe you nerds are just plain allergic to extra content.
Yeah I like both versions, quality of life aside I'd say both are side-grades to each other.
From what I gather from a few players, besides the grimoire (which yeah, it's ass), having the story mode being the 'main' mode took away the team-building and 'adventuring into the unknown' aspects of the game from new players.
Frederica is cute tho, so IDGAF
Fixed your statement for accuracy. 3DS Versions > Originals, forever.
Don't reply, I'm not interested in anything you have to say.
To be fair, I did say "thankfully" which does express a value opinion putting the originals over the Shin remakes, albeit one that is pretty universally shared. That said, it is hilarious how he felt the need to go out of his way to purposefully rewrite my post to express his opinion. He'd go far working in a "localization" company.
*boos*
Fixed your statement for accuracy. Just like takashi_K did.
Only I'm interested in what you have to say still. Even if you are embarrassingly wrong.
