Sounds good, is the Automapping make things too easy if used? I don't mind making my old maps like it was in the DS version.
So basically the controls are like PC but labeled like Switch?
From what I've seen of it, automapping fills in floor and walls, but not shortcuts or treasure chests or staircases or the like. Honestly helpful on the Switch version just because it's a bit of a hassle to use the stick to draw lines constantly, but I'm hopeful that having a mouse on the PC will make map drawing easy enough to justify not using automap.
I'm not sure what you mean by "like PC." For clarification, I am using the HORI version of the Switch Pro Controller as a wired gamepad on the PC, and while the A button works as confirm as per normal, for some reason the in-game prompt says it's the B button.
Sweet thankfully I have a drawing tablet , I can replicate the original experience
I think that was the Untold 3DS versions.
I'd have to boot the original to compare, but I think the translation might be different? The blacksmith in town spoke with an accent I don't remember in the original. Granted it's been a while since I played it. The font used is nice and readable too.
I LOVE that they have settings for more casual people and tough setting for game and maps for the hardcore weirdos like myself. Very nice touch.
Simply put I have ZERO complains and am just loving having this collection on steam!
There are big flaws with the QUALITY of the port. Primarily in that every 2D asset in the game has targeted 1080p and the compression on the images is far too lossy. This is going to require an effort from somebody with experience with AI upscaling, but that's pretty common nowadays. Just a matter of somebody with the wherewithal to tackle the project, even though it should be a largely automated process.
The 3D assets (during exploring) are also extremely low resolution and I sure wouldn't complain if those got 4x or 8x upscales (yes, they're that low).
Once the 1080p graphics problem has been addressed, I won't have any meaningful complaints remaining with this game. If a particularly clever hacker figures out how to do it, it would be pretty amazing if the draw distance could be forced to exceed the game's built-in limitation, which seems to be 4 spaces from the player.
Thanks!
Can anyone share if there's fast forward or speed up of any kind? I like when these turn based game remasters let you play at increased speed, but keep the music intact unlike emulation.
