When's embargo for review lifting ?

I did not preorder because Sega got a bad track record with broken mess remake like the Persona 3 Portable HD remaster and the fact it got Denuvo don't make me want to encourage them too much. I am on Linux + Steamdeck (i only run Arch Linux at home). So seeing how Persona 5 Scramble still don't run on Linux due to Koei Tecmo make me wait for release and review before buying. I am very hype for it, but i want to be sure the addon added to the 3DS version had been added to this one to make it the ultimate version since i hated mapping on the NDS/3DS version, this make it the ultimate version if it's 3DS port but a ♥♥♥♥ version if it's based on the NDS version, it would be silly to buy at that price if it's the NDS version. I don't have any money anyway before the 1st of June, so at least i won't get scam by preorder if it end up with a bad port. I love DRPG but i still got plenty other game to play, so i won't be wasting my money at full price when i can just wait for sale if it's a broken mess and wait for the patch or fan patch.

It is the NDS version, there is none of the 3DS content here. Game comes out literaly tomorrow so just wait for a bit more if you want to see reviews.

It's a bad product because they got a superior revision produced already and instead of porting the better revision, they port the og version, so why would i buy the inferior version which got way less content... I already have the cia file of the 3DS remaster installed on my 3DS XL and a game started of it. I will simply play it when i have played all other 300+ priority game i have. When they cannot port the superior version, it's lazyness because they don't want to port the newest engine and redo most of the code, they probably assigned 10 programmer only and no artist to fix it and was a faster job to do all 3 NDS one versus all 5 3DS one for an extra year. And with denuvo, i am even less tempted to give them my hard earn money. So that cash i wanted to give them at release will go toward the steam sale in 3 weeks, so another dev will get my hard earn money instead by having a better product. In the end, probably by the next 2 years, somebody will mod the 3DS upgrade to this version and by then, it will be 50% at sale during steam sale, lol, so it's a a big win for consummer who are not clown fanboy and a big loose for Sega by releasing an unoptimal version with DRM.

This was rather explained in several threads many time, that Untold in fact is not superior to the original version since it basically changed everything.

For example while Original has more Damage, in Untold the Enemies are more "spongy" with bloated HP Pools. Maps, Items, Skills, Placements is also different regarding original.

I would rather see it as a "parallel" game set in the same world/storyline with a different take. If you have more fun with the Untold Version, that's ofc your decision but the original still has his different take making it worth exploring it

IDK it was not the same game and map was different, for the grind, i don't mind since i can watch youtube at the same time and find way to exploit the game. Then, i will instead wait to see if the game's a broken mess or not at the 1st of the month, then probably buy the trilogy instead. Thank for explaining the difference, i was sure the 3DS version was the superior one. Would be nice if they made a DLC for the 3DS contain to be playable from an new option in the menu like they did when they made a western version of Shining Refrain.

Untold Games in general are more streamlined with less "freedom" of choices how to tackle on the challenges of the labyrinth. This is why they custom tailored almost anything to suit it better for the story and its gameplay flow

Afaik they also lowered difficulty by introduing some new strata or so to alleviate the curve while original doesn't have and you had to grit your teeth through it

What are you on about? the untold versions added 3d models, a downgrade in most fans eyes as the 2d sprites were *chef kiss*

each game added some weird extra mechanic that was always either miss or hit & miss, like grimoires for example.

I wasn't really a fan of the untold games tbh, I liked that they were on the 3ds and updated music but that's it.

the music in this uses higher quality than ds one or touched up.

OG was unbalanced and buggy as hell, with skills not working or doing the contrary of what the description said. Untold versions were far superior, with a few caveats.
