You have a gem with dave the diver and this would throw that all away for future content
It's not fair to future purchasers to not have access/opportunity just because they didn't own the game then.
Why should pirates have access to a more complete product than legitimate owners of the game?
Doesn't take common sense to have known that limited licensed DLC was "maybe" a bad idea. It's burned a lot of goodwill from the community this game has garnered.
Nexon should have sought better licensing deals (see Vampire Survivors) or pushed for original content.
Wouldn't it have been better to be able to sell DLC for years to come?
Need to push Nexon to do something about this versus just apologizing. At very least try to get them to make the DLC available every now and then.
This is a singleplayer game. A great one. Shouldn't had been treated like a free-to-play Live Service game with FOMO DLC.
But ok, thanks.
There is literally nobody who would cancel their plans to buy a Yakuza game solely because they can instead buy the little Yakuza DLC for Dave the Diver. Literally. Nobody. Same with Godzilla - no potential Godzilla movie customer is going to skip watching a movie because they can play the Godzilla DLC in a completely unrelated game. So I don't see where the value of any IPs are being harmed by your DLC. Maybe that's the excuse that the IP holders gave you, but I'm not believing it for a nanosecond.
What that said, I am happy to see you're moving away from time-limited DLCs. It's a bad concept. The price is still far too steep though. If you're lucky, I'll buy it if you manage to discount it enough before you take the DLC down.
