Stuck at 50% loading screen when starting game.

As the title says when I start the game the initial loading screen gets to halfway and then nothing happens no matter how long I wait. I've verified the files, uninstalled and reinstalled on different drives, run as admin, made sure it's allowed in firewall etc.

I bought the game when it first came out in early access and it worked fine and now that it's actually complete I can't play it. I can't even get a refund because I had plenty of hours in EA. I loved this game and now I can't even complete it.....

Have you found a fix for this? I’ve done the same and still have if this issue.

So it turns out that when I reinstalled Windows it made some of my folders hidden, including the ones containing the save files for this game. I had to unhide them all and then the game started working. It also solved an issue I was having in Forza Horizon 5 where the game would crash after rivals races.
