How to know max weight where you can no longer pick stuff up?

Is there like a simple formula to know what the absolute max weight is? I want to know what I can throw out of my inventory to be able to pick something up.

For example... if the game says my max weight is 13kg, but I notice later I can't pick stuff up at 22kg, then my "cant pick up stuff" weight is somewhere between those two values.

Maybe like 13 * 1.5? Or maybe just some flat value like 13 + 7?
Anybody know?

Whatever it is, it always seems to be around 10kg over your current max.

The max weight one can add to the inventory is 10 Kg of the current capacity. This however does not change the item you can pick up though.

Ex: 19 Kg is your current inventory space, the max amount of items one can add into inventory is 29 Kg. To maximize the carry, leave .1 KG from the max loading capacity (ex: 28.9 Kg here) then either net a large amount of fish or cut a heavy fish to load as much as possible in that last item pickup. They will be collected and you will have a weight over the 29 Kg here but can carry anything as long as it is picked up.

From my experience from the game, It seems that having a maxed load carry capacity requires level ten storage, eco-bag from the eco quest line, level 3 salvage drone, and a item holder from cobra's shop. the total weight seems to be around 235 kg plus three drone's worth of fish (if you can net large amounts of fish with the net gun). while I don't personally have a picture of it, you can harvest over 150 fish (amount of fish harvested at 2 star quality) plus a bunch of items. If you really want to maximize leave .1 Kg of space and harvest the sea people farm all in one go (you can harvest all of it if you enter the farm with even .1 Kg of space)

This doesn't seem to be the case for me. Maybe the max weight number changes as you upgrade your inventory space? I only have two data points for my save so far (so not very reliable):

inv max | no pickup max
------------------------
  13    |     19
  28    |     41

However, one thing these pairs have in common is that the "no pickup max" seems to be about 1.46 times the "inv max" rounded to the nearest whole number.

I don't think its a formula because after awhile it stops scaling and actually goes down to a flat amount. These are some of the first few cutoffs in case you want to avoid later spoilers:
13/9kg cutoff
41/28kg cutoff
56/42kg cutoff
