They give a hint, that you need something to hit them back (like a baseball).
They literally put a red box with a bat in it on the field of play - you don't even need to pre-prepare
I don't know about everyone else, but I used the dolphin charms all the way through the game - movement is key at all times. So I never had any trouble personally
What I don't like is that they can be time-consuming, gimmicky, and hard to avoid. I also agree that DAVE is best when it's casual. And not trying to tie your fingers into fleshy knots *cough*cough* control Suwam and Dave at the same time *cough*cough*. Not all of us are Juilliard graduates. Some of us can't even spell "Juilliard".
I actually liked that simultaneous stuff as it was something fresh that i've not done before. End of the day though, I understand, as the casual nature of the game is pretty much it's selling point - off I go to buy 'Overcooked'... !
At least you didn't have to expierence the Phantom Jellyfish.
So much skill issue...
It came out of nowhere and was so damn frustrating I nearly lost it
I wasn't even over-encumbered, Dave is just too slow to cover that kinda space reasonably. It looks cool as hell, cause this game is gorgeous, but it was not fun in the slightest.
EDIT: I don't normally have an issue with Dave's speed in the other boss fights so far, but that one just got under my skin. If one counts it as a boss fight, the Giant Gadon that chases you was quite obnoxious as well. It goes on far longer than necessary and you have no chance to restore your lost air, so if you don't have a large enough air supply...
