stuck in MxMtoon mission

Is there a way to save and exit or get out of the ocean and try again later once ive started the mission with her? It just keeps restarting the battle when we die and even when i close the game and restart i'm already locked in with her but i'm not good enough in combat yet to get through it and just want to restart the day if i cant save and exit.

When you restart, are you just hitting continue at the main menu or are you loading a save manually?

I hit continue and the day started with me on the boat already in the mission with her/cant leave. Then i tried to load manually and the first two options start at the same spot and same circumstance/cant leave. Im not sure why it doesn't start the day without her since we didn't connect until after i called her that morning. The only other save takes me to the night before at the beginning of the boat chase scene as the other guy which also took me forever to get through.

Can you please let us know if you have tried loading the manual save slots or auto save slots?

The second "AUTO" save slot (the slot should be titled 'AUTO') should be the one that is saved right before the mission started. However, if this still brings you to the same point, I think this might be something we would have to look into.
