how do you trigger godzilla or the other update?
cant figure it out

How far into the game are you? Both Dredge and the Godzilla DLCs activate after the end of Chapter 5.

ive done the dredging, ill just play a couple more days and see if it happens

Godzilla can be triggered any time during or after Chapter 5 (I think?). Basically after you first finish the cave at the very bottom left of the depths.

It is Chapter 5 when you go to the deepest part of the left side. I am kind of regretting it now because the final battle isn't going well 😂
Just go straight down to the bottom of the left hand side below the wreck and eventually you should see some the cave that's blocked.
