Any good ways to farm green sea urchins?

Just got through the latest free content. Great as usual, just wondering if there is a good way to amass green sea urchins?

After the quest you can find about 2-4 green urchin spawn spots in the blue shallows each dive - each of which gives you 1 urchin for cooking purposes. There are multiple new green sea urchin recipes and without the ability to mass produce them through the farm or aquariums, ranking them all up looks to be the most painful grind in the game.

Anyone got some green urchin stockpiling tips I'm missing?

If you want to get a bunch you have to go at night, they are generally more abundant. They aren't a high enough profit to really prioritize honestly, they are one of the pricier dishes but that time can be spent on getting materials for other better dishes. And since you're going at night they eat into profits that you'd otherwise have a full night for. Don't go for truffles either, the cost of the truffle reduces the amount the dish is worth by a lot. I was going to calculate the cost of the max level truffle dish, the profit of it is good even after buying truffles but buying enough truffles to max the dish has to cost tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars so it would take forever to make up the difference.

I'm so late game that profits are meaningless to me. The only objective I have left when I play is to max out recipe ranks. I've only tried 1 night dive for green urchins and I don't recall more appearing, they just slightly easier to spot - unless you checking every pile of rocks anyway. I'll try another night dive to see if I missed anything.

Yeah they only appear in bluehole 0-50 during all three phases of the day. Make sure to track a recipe with them so they are easier to find. They also appear during dredge events. I can't imagine that getting them to level 10 will be an enjoyable experience.

They are only found in the shallows. Thankfully all 7 new recipes max out at level 5. So it doesn't take a metric ton to max out all recipes.

Thanks, I didn't think of using the tracker to help find them. Knowing they all max out at rank 5 is also a huge relief.
