Barring that, I'm not sure what is best because I am not that familiar with the areas yet. I have only been the one time, and shut it off for now to progress story first.
I find the seaweed biome more of a headache in the regular game as I don't use a net gun for a main and it's vital for the catfish.
The Hush Dart's final upgrade though means anything not 'immune'(Crabs, a certain large fish's head, and one of the Fishmon that requires pokemon logic), will be put to sleep, the larger ones requiring two shots though. Anything smaller is practically instant.
Hush Dart for things that I want to bring in big time, the Net for either MANY small things at once or the crabs, and one or two other things.
The Black Cliffs(One of the three areas in the Dredge DLC), BTW, has one of those immune fish that cannot be hurt normally, you either need to drop a rock on it, or Net Gun it.
