As title. As my Wife told that this is game for kids, I do not agree with her, and decided to ask people who plays Dave, how old are ou? ;) If you wish, and be so kind please write it here...

My age you can do math and calculate from my Nick... ;)

"Hey, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I looked into the details a bit more and this ban seems excessive to me. I’ve gone ahead and removed it at this time.

There is actually another game from the "family" 😉 However no Diving, but fishing... "Dredge". I will buy this game after finishing Dave (or after paycheck 😉 as Winter Sale as usual sucked a bit of my funds...).

I'm old enough that I could be older than a husband and wife put together.

I'm 44.

The review of Dave the Diver by Zero Punctuation describes it as a "post-dad" game, in which players derive enjoyment from a stress-free mundane day-job, which gives a clue as to the target age.

Also remember that Dave is based on a real-life restaurant owner on Jeju Island, so it would be ignorant to call that man's job childish.

just turned 32 last month, and I binged this game for months during early access and then on release. been gaming since I was ~8 years old back on Win95 and consoles and haven't stopped since. big fan of sim games & rpgs and sushi is my favorite food so this game was just a match made in heaven for me.

I always SMH at anyone who thinks games and other fun activities / hobbies are age-gated. They really aren't. There are games that I played as a child that I still enjoy 20+ years later.

I'm in my 40's and had to deal with this issue with a particular girl I was dating in college. Spouse/partner approval of video games, or, for that matter, any hobby that a man enjoys, has been an issue of contention for a long time.

I've found that the easiest way to deal with this is to schedule time for playing the game after you've spent time with them doing something you both enjoy. Reminding them how much you love them and enjoy being with them beforehand will help them understand that just because you have hobbies that don't involve them, doesn't change how you feel about them.

Thanks. You are very right! When I was younger I spent too much time gaming, and now I just play an hour or two, when kids are sleeping and Wife is watching Netflix or other Disney+ 😉 And generally she accepts my hobby, just this game because of graphics I think looks for her childish...

49 years old here. I love playing games like this cause I have a hard time finding people to play online with. Friends don't have the same schedule so games like this are my bread and butter!

Yeah, I have the same... Play only Single Player games... Only exception was Dying Light few years ago, where I played with my Friend Coop online and last year... Deep Rock Galactic, where is HUGE Player base and you don't need to have friends to play online in 4 person Coop, as random people can join or you can join to other people!

Over 30*

Parts of the game kids can play, but the capitalism is pretty adult in this game. I don't play Dave the Diver, I play Dave the Capitalist! lolol
