How to start Dredge DLC?

I downloaded it, but nothing new popped up.

How do I start the DLC content?

1. Lets start with downloading and knowing whether the free DLC is working.
First after downloading the update and installing the DLC, check if the DLC is ticked.

2. If the DLC is enabled, your savegames from now onward, will include a yellow icon on the right of every new save.

3. All you need to do now is check your weather app for the next day you encounter foggy weather, and the Dredge DLC will start on that day.

4. Game progression is reported to be after dave has obtained the chicken farm, meaning Egg dishes. So that's usually past chapter 4? Either way, unlocking crab traps prior to the event should also be worthwhile as 6 of the 34 new marinca entries require them, and steel netguns are definitely a boon due to the ferocity of the new fish as almost all of them are hostile. There has been no reports of the DLC event not occurring when the game is in the epilogue.

Okay, found it. I had to skip like 10 days for no reason apparently.

The yellow Dredge symbol can be found in the save file load menu. I just never used it, because I always pressed the "continue" button.

And you have to skip until the night/late evening/restaurant time on the foggy day. The travelling merchant ship won't appear in the morning or early evening.

Hm. The DLC is very nice, but it doesn't seem to have any story of it's own.
Have I missed anything story-wise?

It's a "crossover" there usually isin't new lore; however I can't help but notice that the Giant Blue Hole looks kinda similar to Stellar bay in Dredge

Of course can a crossover have it's own story.
However, I am not expecting it, since we got the DLC for free.
I just personally prefer games / DLC that provide a really good and immersive story.

The DLC actually starts at night.

It's basically just RNG; you need a foggy night, and those are as unpredictable as they are in real life.

Hey there! I just made sure the DLC was ticked in steam, and when I get back into my game and manual save I still don't get the yellow icon. Is there any troubleshooting I can do to get the content into my save?

Perhaps the issue is that I'm still too early in the game? I am still in Chapter 2 after all.

It should start when you reach chapter 6 and have the chicken farm unlocked, or maybe just the chicken farm

when you unlock the chicken farm you shuold see a poster pop up as soon as you load your world
