Is This All There is to the Dredge Update?

I didn't play much but seems like it's just some new weird fish to catch for the Sushi restaurant. Are there any new missions? Boss fights? Etc? If this is all there is it's cute but that's about all.

I did a play by play in my guide
With this update,

-catching lobsters and crabs provides eggs for your fish farms.

-no new achievements

-no new bosses

-3 kinda the same areas, but with different fish. While almost all hostile, all are fugly.

-All new fish can be caught with a 3 star rating Using either a hush dart, or crab traps.
with the exception of the

-34 new max level dishes, with no research or leveling required.

-new customers are so easy to please they never leave dirty dishes, nor ask for drinks. Have I disappointed them? nope, they have a timer on their food, but my staff is so good that their dishes have always been served on time.

-no aberrant fish can be kept by the next morning, so sell them or waste them.

-new gun, the Drain Gun: trade a fish's health for your benefit, gaining oxygen.

-new minigame, dredging for stuff.

That's mainly it. However, I see a possibility for future updates, as driving the ship mechanic seems to be the basis for map expansion perhaps?

there is that. free and came out fast. do hope they add more to the game still. free or payed theres alot of potential cross overs

This isn't new, it's been available since I started playing. I don't know when it was introduced but all the posts saying its not possible were from a while ago.

You may be right, a month and a half was quite a while a ago, and I haven't touched the game in a month til the dredge update dropped.

that is quite a bit of free stuff for a new game that already did exceptionally well, notably in this modern landscape.

Most would have charged something or locked it behind social media/sub services

Subnautica people would struggle in Dave's world...

I don't care to just do more fishing and running the restaurant, was hoping for more than that. Ah well.

Yeah, I'm like 90% sure it was part of the October update. Now only Purple Sea Urchins require being caught.
