Well, you can always get a good harvest if you use fertilizer. Expensive, though.
I recommend simply expanding the field to increase the yield in general, if you're hard up for ingredients.
Growth Fertilizer: Accelerates plant growth. As simple as it is, your vegetables will grow faster.
Pest Fertilizer: Helps prevent weed growth.
Harvest-up Fertilizer: Increases the number of vegetables that you get from your plants after harvesting.
Nutrient Compost: Increases the nutrient value of the soil.
