Forcing Mjolnir to get generated

So...like a lot of people this was my final achievement that I wanted to get so I can 100% the game.
I finished the game at around 40 hours, enjoyed it and followed the advice and tips that people left for receiving this achievement.
I'm now at around 50 hours of game time...so 10 hours just for this achievement!
It seemed kinda fishy that it didn't spawn so I said, hmmmm most probably the game uses a seed to generate the environment and RNG. So let's reset it!
I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it...and got it on the first try on the second terrace on the right in the Glaciar Passage.

Its that rare? i got it randomly during one of my dives lol.

I don't think so, I think this whole rigmarole is simply RNG. I've had it multiple times after a long drought; even had one run where two Mjolnirs spawned.

It is rare. A lot of people aren't getting the hammer as easy. And I read that people tried for 50-60 times until getting it spawned. So I think they have a bug for generating it.

I think it can appear in any of the glacier caves too. I had it appear outside twice and in cave 3 once.

Yup, the caves are a spawn location as well. I followed a path described in a guide here and I didn't get it in the caves either.

I got it maybe on my 10th visit to the glacier, you are not checking all the parts maybe? It was on the top right part just after taking down the spiky fella

checked every spot and it wasn't there for all those 10 hours that I tried.
After reinstalling it, first try. That's why I think this is a bug because the RNG gets stuck on one value, or a couple of them.

Thanks Sparky this worked for me - uninstalled, reinstalled, and straightaway found it to the left of the pinball machine puzzle in cave 1

I followed this advice years later and it worked for me.

I had gone though a circuit of the glacial area more than thirty times and turned up nothing. After I reinstalled, I immediately got rare-ish drops such as jade pedestals and plates where I hadn't seen them before. Third run though the glacial area after reinstalling I found Mjolnir.
