It can't be the same dive since you're above water in that dialog, so you mean the same day? I do save some, they move to the right side. My seahorses as ingredients show up as ingredients just fine but never show up in the arcade. I'm low-key pissed because I have caught a few 4 or 5 star seahorses, saved them for the arcade, and they're gone, just poof, nowhere to be found.
So what are we doing wrong?? I'm so confused now... :(
The only time I've ever had seahorses available to register is if I catch them and then go the arcade in the same dive without surfacing.
Hopefully they'll see that this is still happening -- I'm on my third or fourth playthrough and this issue exists in every game, so I think it's pretty universal -- and take some action, cause I've also caught a couple of good ones that I'm always disappointed to see not show up in the register menu.
When you come up from a dive it asks you if you wish to save a sea horse for racing. It does not mean that you have logged the sea horse into the race, your sea horse is only temporarily stored in the locker on the boat, and will Your stored seahorse will automatically appear in your inventory the next time you dive. The only place to log into the game is only in the village.
Caught a Zebra Seahorse in the morning.
At the end of the dive, it asked me if I wanted to send it to sushi or keep it in my inventory.
I moved it to the inventory side and hit "okay".
At the start of the afternoon timeslot, my inventory started with the seahorse in it when I went to dive.
Didn't catch any more that afternoon, at the end of the dive, I had the same choice and made the same decision.
Same thing happened in the night dive.
The next morning, I went directly to the sea people village, and the seahorse was still in my inventory, and I was able to register it at the arcade.
I guess it doesn't really put it in "storage", you just keep it in your pocket for your next dive? Like I said, it would be nice if other people seeing this issue could check if it works like this for them.
So it seems like when it asks if you want to put it in "storage", or put it away basically, it doesn't actually do that. And if you go diving again, and it shows you the seahorse menu - you're basically seeing all new and old seahorses. So your brain is thinking "Oh I already saved one, don't need these."
So yes... when you "save them" in "storage", it's not actually storage. It's still in your inventory. So until you go to the village, DON'T chop up all your seahorses. That level 7 you see again is the same one you THOUGHT you saved.
So long story short, it works... but does a really, really bad job of explaining it. "Directions not clear." lol
