can't seem to calm down the leatherback turtle

there are no buttons that pop up that indicate what i'm supposed to do and i seem to be stuck here now? Not sure if this is a bug or if i'm just missing something?

I stopped playing (until the next update) before finishing that quest, but I assumed that I would need the non-lethal gun for that quest. Have you tried that? (No guarantee that it'll work, it's just speculation based on the quest objective).

get close to it and hold the right mouse button on its tail. mash some buttons.

yaaaaaa i finally figured that out from mashing buttons since it didn't give any kind of prompt, definitely seems a bit unpolished on that part but i was happy i was able to get past the quest at least, at first i thought the nets on the roof were supposed to be used to pin it down since that was a mechanic that got introduced but nope, hopefully they'll improve it with some updates

Yeah, I swam around the net on the ceiling for a long time because I thought I would have to use that to capture the turtle.

But I don’t think it’s that much of a problem for this solution to be somewhat enigmatic. It’s a small space and there’s only so much you can do in the room.

That being said… I also experienced a slight bug at this point, too. The first time I swam past the turtle, I saw the button prompt pop up, and I tapped right click, but didn’t hold it down. After that, the button prompt bugged out and stopped appearing. I couldn’t grab the tail at all after that.

BUT the fix was just leaving the area and immediately going back in.
