Squeaky hammer(toy hammer) is the best melee weapon in this game.

It's the best tool to farm boatload of ☆☆☆ jellyfish.
You can also use it to farm those pesky Red Lionfish / Titan Triggerfish that come after you at ☆☆☆ rating.

The only downside is you can't really hit a normal fish that run away from you.

Tranquilisers and Net will be able, but they only work for smaller/medium fish sizes.

Steel net is the best. Takes a while to get there. But you can capture crabs and stargazers at 3 stars.
