Two Different Art Style Options
So I just saw the release trailer and I noticed that at some points the game had two different art styles. While most of the trailer was in the 16 bit art style that the game is known for, I noticed some frames which seemed to be the art style seemed more CG generated or cell-shaded. So why is this? Does the game have options for different art styles?

It also maybe possible that I'm mistake the amount of detail on the larger creatures such as the shark, giant squid, belugas/dolphins and the mantis shrimp as a separate styles.

So does anyone if there are two different art styles in the game or am I just getting tricked by optical illusions?

The game uses a combination of pixel art and models from what I can tell. Dave and smaller characters are pixel art and I think some are maybe voxels (like tiny fish), and larger bosses, environments, and things like boats / buildings are 3d models.

The game has no option for choosing a style.

Oh well that's quite interesting too. I knew those larger creatures weren't pixel art.
