Is shark reproduction bugged?
So I'm in Chapter 7, and have at least one pair (sometimes up to three pairs) of every shark except the Mako and the Blackfin Reefshark. My fish farms are all upgraded at or near the maximum, and I make sure density stays below 90%. However I have had most of these sharks for at least one in-game week and none of them have reproduced (Rhinochimaeridae and Cookie Shark being the only exceptions; they finally bred after around two in-game weeks). To illustrate my point, I have had six Sawsharks for around three in-game weeks and they have not produced any offspring.

Is this intended? If so, it makes the density trade-off for keeping sharks completely not worth it, especially given that you only get 5 meat when you send a farmed shark to the kitchen.

shark reproduction chance is simply very low.
I have had almost all sharks reproduce by now, just rarely.

longnose/sawshark reproduces fine in my tank. it's 4th most fertile one, though. i keep min 4x whitetip shark for the head recipe, same 4pieces of longnose/sawshark. in other tank i keep min 6 but up to 8 pieces of both the rhinochimesomething AND megamouth, these two sharks form the backbone of my inexhaustable shark sushi offering. i put them on autorefill 1portion always. i have no problem reproducing them in my tank.
you need to give them space. i always visit the fish farm in morning and send to kitchen to get under 90%. always. in the evening i usually go visit just in case, see if i wanna upgrade any tank..
edit: tigersharks too, but i keep 2 of those only..

As I said, I always keep my tanks under 90% density as well just to be safe (and most of my tanks' capacity is fully upgraded or near to it) - so I think that space can't be the culprit here, since your sharks breed but mine don't.

More likely it's what Schalimah said, and I'm just getting very unlucky... Still, I think maybe the breeding chance needs a buff, because again the density trade-off for keeping sharks doesn't seem worth it for a return of only 5 meat every few weeks
