Do you have any problems at home? Doesn't anyone listen to your problems? Why are you talking to us with your nonsense. I don't care what kills your joy. Why don't you just write constructive criticism?
Probably best to not start up a session unless you have an hour spare, or you will just be rushed and won't be having fun.
That thing that introduces the character origin of that chef guy, where you learn a ton about the hotel he was working at and some seemingly pointless stuff about some celebrity visiting. It's not that I wouldn't like a bit of story, I do, but at that point I had a rough idea how long I'd need to play a round of this game and that cutscene was mostly just fluff, unskipable and threw a wrench in my scheduling.
There's basically only two real complaints.
(A) the button mashing (somewhat valid) easily fixable for devs. Make an optional easy mode when starting game that turns that it off for people with accessibility issues.
(B) People like the OP. Complaining about MORE content in a game. Cutscenes, fetch quests etc (IE: too much content).
In a world where so many games are way too short, I'll never understand this either. OP is entitled to his opinion. But most of cut scenes are skip-able and I never remember even wanting to skip them in this game. The opening length seems pretty normal to me. Hardly excessive.
I don't even skip the upgrade cut scenes. I love them so much! TBH I can't even imagine trying to use this as a game where I only play 30m. I played for 2h last night and that full 2h was an entire in-game day with 2 boss fights and a boat chase I wasn't expecting at the end. Loved every minute. I like the unexpected cut scenes and extra content.
Correction, only the little 10~20 second cutscenes are skippable. What OP is complaining about is, in this specific case, a story segment about Bancho's past played through a visual novel style format. I guess a kind of interactive cutscene if you will, but very different from the little skippable animations added for flavor.
So basically they're complaining about too much story in a game that half its content is story. Don't agree personally, but wanted to make the distinction regardless.
I like it. But yeah there is always someone yelling " muh my time " in the forums. As if your schedule is the games problem.
