How do you catch 3* (spider)crabs and stargazers?

As the title says. It seems they're immune to everything from tranq darts to tranq weapons to the hammer or net gun so how exactly am I supposed to catch them without killing them?

You need a lategame upgrade for the net gun to catch them alive

You can also catch them alive using the steel sensor net trap that Cobra sometimes sells in his shop. For the spider crabs, place the trap at ground-level a little off to the side of the crab, then stand beyond the trap and the crab will slowly walk into it. For stargazers you need to place the trap in its attack path, which I find usually requires getting hit once and making use of the invulnerability period to set the trap.

Steel net traps or the steel net launcher.

I tried to catch a stargazer using steel nets and I couldn't get the fish to trigger the trap. Guess I'll work on the final net gun upgrade and see if I have better luck with that.

You have to basically build the trap in its face. You will take a hit but it works...just damage boost and use the i-frames to build it.

It's also possible to bait it to attack and build it during the downtime but who has time for that.
