How replayable and open ended is this game?
I read a bit about the game, and I see some people mentioning missions, which gave me the impression the game is somewhat linear, but admitedly, I haven't researched enough.

Anyways, as the title says!

Once you are done with the story. You can continue with the normal gameplay loop and keep playing how long you want. That said. It's no game you play for hundrets of hours or with special new content after the story.

The parties go on repeat (I guess).. there are low tier fetch quest missions at a questboard for bei. You can complete the Marinca card collection.. etc.

Yeah it's somewhat linear, you unlock more and more aspects of the game as you go along, and improve your gear, restaurant, etc. Eventually there's an ending. But you can hold off on going for the ending indefinitely.

Thank you for the quick answers! I tend to avoid games that don't have a whole lot of replayability for financial reasons, but I think this game would be a good purchase regardless. I'll watch some more videos about it and decide. Thanks a lot for the help! :)

Although this game offers a linear story mode to play through, it also provides ample collecting elements. For example, players can collect all fish species, craft weapons of all types, and fully unlock the functionalities of the farm and aquaculture facilities, among others. Even after completing the main storyline, players can continue diving to collect materials and manage their sushi restaurant. The game also hosts periodic sushi parties with different themes. These elements are enough to keep players engaged for replayability.

Oh, I do like collecting aspects in games, so that's a big plus!

Thanks for the info.

You could always turn your wise in to speed running the story line.. That keeps most players "entertained" forever...

Depends on what objective you set yourself after the story. For example maxing out every dish on the menu is something that will take more than 100 hours.

You can continue playing to upgrade everything, but the post endgame is pretty boring - it's one of the weakest game aspects. Replayability is zero, because there are no decisions in the game that yield different content.

I played for 48 hours. And I'm close to 100% with everything. I got all achievments except for finishing the game. Which I purposly saved to be my last. I got the FIshmon. The GYOA. All that crap.

Yet if i wanted to there are like 10 more Gyoa. 7 more fishmon. Several regular fishes in areas I not caught. Also several dishes to max out level on. And several staff to get to max level. but i got 3 lvl 20 staff and im all done with this.

The GYOA achievment litterly had me just skip time for like 3-4 weeks constantly not giving a ♥♥♥♥ about the farm or the resturant.

I dont get why things can't if you pay like 100 000 get more automated. Like a farm that regulary as long as you buy seeds grow and harvest for you? A branch that actually stays open even if you chose not to?
I know micromanagement is the game. But for a Dave the diver 2 i would loved to be able to feel like i'm the Boss of this operation. And not the Dishboy.
