What should I do with Maki?

My chef slots are currently full, and I already have Raul and Yusuke at level 7. I also have Jason in the resume ready to fill the third slot. Maki joining my team was entirely unexpected.
What do I do with her? Any tips on my cooking team?

She has 1 of the most insane cooking values in the game. It is actually worth it to upgrade her. You can also use her to dispatch for seasoning and later on use her on another site if you want to.

There won't be third spot, but the branch store will need 2 chefs for it when you unlock it. having maki, who has one of the highest cooking value is a really good one to level up.

Maki si only useful in the kitchen, she doesn't have any other good stat. Her skills are not useful either, but I think it is better to have someone else to dispatch.

You will get it when you beat the last "Here comes a new challenger" VIP-event which will settle old score of Buncho's story.

It is directly related to a specific VIP event, one of the chef challenge to be specific.

It seems to be based on both 'how many days has passed in game' and 'how much you progressed the story.'
Depending on how quickly you progress the main story, it is possible you could finish the main story (and watch the credit roll) even before this feature gets unlocked.
(This seems to happen if you progressed the story faster then the game intended)

I think the game wants the players to take ample time while progressing the story.
