I can't say for sure but it seems to be about 10% above.

9 = 13 limit
19 = 26
28 = 41
42 = 55.9
63 = 78
94 = 109
125 = 136
155 = 165

Keep in mind you can take one more thing after hitting the number on the right, so make it a big one like a shark or something.

Black anchor = you can still take stuff
Yellow chest with a cross = no more stuff

Also note, once you hit the black anchor or yellow chest warnings, you won't have the str to escape a predator basic swimming spd so becareful.

Yeah definitely kill the last shark before hitting your max. Also don't be shy about dropping stuff, most fish are actually garbage in disguise.
