Starry Puffer Poison Sack?!?!?

Ok for realz now where the hell are these things? I am at the end of the game and have 0 of these in over 50 hours. I have murdered hundreds of these stupid starry puffer fish and haven't got a single one. Is this broken or is does it have a .00000001% chance to drop? I really wanted to make poison weapons but I haven't been able to make any of them except the the triple axle since it only takes red lionfish thorns. Kinda lame as now I'm about to go to the final boss and just power through it without the weapons I really wanted to use. I probably won't play it through a 2nd time just for weapons but maybe this post can help someone else out if they're struggling to find these. Hope someone can tell me what is happening here or maybe I'm just doing something wrong?...

Are like the poison/fire/lightning weapons even worth? Just upgrade the underwater rifle to its ultimate form and demolish everything instantly.

I mean you're not wrong. I'm not really having any issues killing anything with any of the weapons really. I do like the poison triple axle though. It hits hard and the more you upgrade the more damage it does and dot damage ticks faster. I usually use it and then switch to the shock harpoon to slow enemies. Seems to work well for me anyway. I actually did find 1 poison sack about an hour after making this post. I really thought it was broken but I guess it is just a really low drop rate since that is still the only one I have found the entire game. Headed to the last boss now to finish it. Super fun game, just seems like the drop rate on this upgrade item should be a adjusted a little so you can actually use the poison weapons.

It is evident that the drop rate of special items in the final version is indeed lower compared to the EA version.
I would recommend using the tranquilizer gun or the net gun for capturing.
Using the harpoon to catch pufferfish or other aggressive firearms requires waiting for the pufferfish to deflate, while the tranquilizer gun or net gun can increase the capture efficiency.

I can see using the net gun and hush dart gun to help farm this if you're trying to get all of the poison upgrades but come on man. 1 single drop in now almost 60 hours? Net gun or no I feel like you should be able to find at least 5 of them in this amount of time to upgrade at least one of the guns. Drop rate is way too low imo. Other than this one item the rest were pretty easy to come across and farm if I really wanted/needed to. Game is super smooth besides this elusive poison sack lol.

You have a higher chance getting the animal parts if you catch them “unharmed/asleep”.

Tranq hooks, net guns, hush dart, and sleep hammer are your best friends.
