edit: And the Moray Eel Curry. You should have it since you have to make it for Otto.
Actually just scroll thru your dishes when the event is announced on the top right of your screen. Dishes that qualify are marked. It doesnt have to be curry blocks as ingredient. I think most used Tumeric.
I wasn't sure if the curry block was necessary but this confirmed my suspicions! Thanks a ton for your comment, now I can make some $$$ when the event arrives :D
im on day 35 and have never seen Atlantic Bonito.
im convinced the game is bugged for their generation and the devs are unaware
They're about the same size as the mackeral and in the same areas as them, and they almost appear like a white tube.
Nah, they're just kind of oddly rare and deep. The game is one of the best made I've played in a long time. Haven't run into any glitches or bugs as of yet.
For the curry block, for me, they only drop deep in the glacial area, best way is to just hire a bunch of people, have them in your waiting room (you can actually hire everyone BTW) and 'dispatch' them to get curry blocks. The parrotfish curry dish is a good priced item.
