Curry Party Event
I've finished the entire game already and currently dealing with a Curry Party event so I'm wondering what dishes I could prepare that will work for the event. So far the only actual recipe that uses the curry ingredient is the one with Atlantic Bonito, which is seemingly extremely elusive since I have rarely found any mention online let alone finding any images of it at all. So I'm confused as to how I can get a successful run in the Curry Party event. Any help or suggestions would be apprecated!

You get a curry recipe from Drae when you level him up and there is one with the head of that fat, peacefull fish (think you can just research that? Not sure. "Humphead Parrotfish Curry").

edit: And the Moray Eel Curry. You should have it since you have to make it for Otto.

Actually just scroll thru your dishes when the event is announced on the top right of your screen. Dishes that qualify are marked. It doesnt have to be curry blocks as ingredient. I think most used Tumeric.

I wasn't sure if the curry block was necessary but this confirmed my suspicions! Thanks a ton for your comment, now I can make some $$$ when the event arrives :D

im on day 35 and have never seen Atlantic Bonito.

im convinced the game is bugged for their generation and the devs are unaware

Bonitos exist but they are a weirdly rare spawn. They do however respawn if you're down long enough.
They're about the same size as the mackeral and in the same areas as them, and they almost appear like a white tube.

Nah, they're just kind of oddly rare and deep. The game is one of the best made I've played in a long time. Haven't run into any glitches or bugs as of yet.

Also keep in mind that during an event you can still prepare and sell dishes that aren't that event's type. Kind of like how if you run out of ingredients in the early game you'll sell basic seaweed instead of actual sushi, but it's worth less than the recipes give

From memory if you see the spotted jelly fish (just below limestone cave area) then that is the map the bonito also spawns, it doesn't spawn all the time like the spotted jellies. Stay around the same level as the tiger shark, capture everything, likely to catch one or two.

For the curry block, for me, they only drop deep in the glacial area, best way is to just hire a bunch of people, have them in your waiting room (you can actually hire everyone BTW) and 'dispatch' them to get curry blocks. The parrotfish curry dish is a good priced item.
