Does the Sea People Necklace stop UV flashlights from spawning?

They still spawn. same goes for pickaxes when you get max level knife. Rather annoying when you want scooters or spare tanks but their drop rate is somewhat consistent; always close to both entry and exit of the depth blue hole zones.

No idea but I just got down there for the ghost squid hunt and I've searched everywhere for a UV light and cannot find one. If I didn't have the necklace I wouldn't even have been able to get into the area.

you can still shoot or melee the red things to go away. so no, even without flashlight or necklace you can go in there. i think its 2 hits with the knife.

im wearing that necklace for 2-3 days in a row now and never since found a uv flashlight in that region anymore. Also not in the crates i usually got one 100%

Then that settles it, cause VideoJones discovered it the same moment I did, the hunt for the ghost squid. before the necklace I always found a UV need the red tubes. after the necklace, until the ghost squid I realised that I never really saw one again.

No it dosnt settle anything, they still spawn wearing the necklace. Also they always spawn in the same chests. this chest in the screnshot always 100% of the time will contain a flashlight. The first one is always on the ledge between the red tubes to the bottom uf it going down and the tubes going left. These are the first tube tunnels. The box at the left tubes has a random item, but the one to the lower part ALWAYS has a flashlight

Well...nevermind i just found a UV light, despite wearing the necklace. But i have the feeling the chance of getting one is lowered? i dont know. Was going for 3 ingame days in a row without getting one.

No the spawn of the UV Light is 100% at the same chest. Every single time.

Just for clarity, Private 117 is correct, there are guaranteed uv lights in fixed chests, it's impossible to not have any.

Except when they don't spawn because I went around the entire area, opened every single chest and didn't get a single one. It's clearly not impossible. I went to the normal spawn I go to for the chest and got an oxygen capsule. The pickaxe chest was still there but the UV light wasn't.

This chest here https://prnt.sc/OoHyOahRu1Ka has a 100% spawn chance. both the chest and the light.

in All my dives. before and after the amulet. Its a 100% spawn. And i always got this light at every single dive. And i could record 500 dives and would get it 500 times.
I cant exclude the possibility that this is a bug for you. But in the general case and a functioning game, its always there.

I'm not saying it wasn't a bug but I scoured the entire area, went to the usual spawns and got zero UV torches. I usually go down the right side and get a chest none of them had one.

Subsequent dives after that attempt have had the torches so it was probably a random bug that happened to coincide with a mission that required one.

Okay you are correct. Im sorry.

There really is one version without a guranteed spawn. seems like there are 3? versions of the depth and one of them has no torch. I must have gotten this version so rarely if not ever.
Just got my like 4th time getting the seeweed biome in the shallows and on the depth is now no UV light.
So i know that on at least 2 versions the flashlight is a 100% spawn. but seems like its not on a different one. But also i barely remember ever seeing this version of the depth.
I was fairly certain it always exists because i got it basically always. But the game just told me wrong.

No problem. I don't think I've ever had a run without at least one spawning either and it was annoying that it happened at the moment I needed one. I guess I'll just have to hope one spawns when I get another chance at the squid.
