UV Light not Working on PC

I have my UV light equipped, and I'm prompted to control it with the mouse on-screen; however, I cannot get the UV light to turn on no matter what button I press on the keyboard or mouse. Any ideas on how to get this to work?

You're pressing activate to turn it on right? when you press the middle mouse button (default control) it should turn on and off.

Its the activate command in keybindings if you want to change it.

If anyone else is having this problem, I'm also going to state that it isn't a toggle, its a button hold. So to turn on the flash light you hold middle mouse button (at least for mouse and keyboard).

I've been clicking the middle mouse button, but not holding it down. I will try this next time and report back. Thanks!

Seems to be something that just randomly glitches out sometimes. I've been able to use the uv light perfectly multiple times, but right now it just stopped working for me and I can't activate it.

I dropped the uv light, swam away and then came back and picked it up and it's working now, incase anyone has the same issue and wants to try that.

I just came here looking for this. Had the UV light working many times until just now.
I just got the upgraded gloves to try to get to the sea people village and now suddenly it isn't working.

I have the same issue. UV light does not turn on even after pressing the prompted key/using the controller

Workaround in the meantime: Melee attacking it twice makes it retract. You can also equip the sea people necklace which will let you pass automatically.

Torch has stopped working here too. I've already used it a couple of times to get where I am, and now its stopped working so I'm trapped between areas with no emergency callout ...

I will try the melee method to retract the tubes ...

Melee method works ... and now my torch suddenly started working again ... phew

Actually, I've had the reverse of this bug many times, when it won't turn off (yes, I release the button), you just have to let it drain. You just can't use anything else until it does, so that was a nice surprise when I ran into a blood jellyfish in the tubeworm tunnel. Just hide until I can use my other weapons again. :-)
