Missing pink dolphin photo after photo event was bugged

Taking a photo of the pink dolphin was bugged a few days ago (fixed now according to devs), so I had to skip the photo, when the event occurred.

I'm currently enjoying post-game and am trying to complete all there is to complete, however I'm now missing the photo of the pink dolphin and the linked Marinca of it. The bug has since been fixed, but now I'm unsure if it is possible, to retake this photo, or if my save is soft locked in terms of full completion.

Can anyone / the devs confirm, if this photo event can occur again?

I can confirm that it can occur again.

I had the same thing happen with the bug back in chapter 2.

I'm currently trying in chapter 4, roughly 2 weeks later in-game, and it finally spawned again.

I don't know if you just have to wait for a specific configuration or if the chance is just low, but it's still obtainable.

I was unable to get the picture to work either and ran across it a week or so later in game and got it to work that time. So I'm guessing just have to have the right map spawn in.

I can also confirm I have taken the pink dolphin picture after hotfix

do you remember what type of map is it ? the map with many seaweed or the map with
pink anemone near the entrance ?

for me it was map with pink anemone near the entrance, on the far right maybe around 40-50m the pink one comes out for a photo, it took a lot of tries to get that map

I just got it after searching a while for the pink dolphin (and a mako shark that I'm still missing).

I can confirm that the pink dolphin photo spot was at 35.5m on the absolute right side of the map.

I am also in Post game and only now just got the photo, so do not worry about not getting it due to the bug you will eventually stumble across the pink Dolphin
