"Resources Load Error"
"Game will shut down due to a problem loading content. Please verify integrity or reinstall after shutting down. Right-click on 'Dave the Diver' in Steam -> properties -> local files -> verify integrity of game files."

Game displays black screen then error listed above. No firewall/antivirus blocking it. Uninstalled, reinstalled, verified integrity of game files, etc. Nothing works. Anyone else? Any solutions?

As previously stated, we all have...
"No firewall/antivirus blocking it. Uninstalled, reinstalled, verified integrity of game files, etc. Nothing works." (Even updated drivers for both graphics cards, displays, exceeding minimum requirements for game, etc.)
The only "resolution" myself and others on this thread have been using is installing the game on a different drive. As said, verifying game files does not resolve the issue.
Yes, I did those too and everything works fine. All other games work on my computer, only this one doesn't. My laptop is hp omen 7, system is windows 11, CPU is 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H, RAM is 64 G

Just chiming in to confirm that uninstalling and reinstalling this game to a DIFFERENT drive fixed the issue. Verifying integrity, or uninstalling and reinstalling it to the SAME drive did not.

None of the solutions listed in this thread worked for me, it looks like it was because my save file was corrupted somehow. I loaded an older save and that fixed it for me.
