"Resources Load Error"
"Game will shut down due to a problem loading content. Please verify integrity or reinstall after shutting down. Right-click on 'Dave the Diver' in Steam -> properties -> local files -> verify integrity of game files."

Game displays black screen then error listed above. No firewall/antivirus blocking it. Uninstalled, reinstalled, verified integrity of game files, etc. Nothing works. Anyone else? Any solutions?

Not yet, but I've sent a detailed email to their support email inbox. I'll let you know if anything comes of it.

I was having the same problem up until just now. I just moved the game itself to a new Install Folder and I was able to open the game and there was no "Resource Load Error" did do a bunch of other random things to try and see if they worked but this was the only thing that actually let me open the game. I did move the game to a whole separate drive so it may not work for you but I would try it if you haven't.

I just moved it back to its original Install Folder and it seems to be working fine now and doesn't come up with the error. Hopefully this was helpful.

This worked. I don't know why it worked, but it worked. :peglinyay: Many thanks.

How exactly did you guys move the game? Did you just drag the game files to a new folder or did you use the steam "move" function?

I uninstalled it from my D drive and reinstalled it on my G drive, just to be sure.

Maybe using a flash drive or external drive would do until they come out with a fix? I would figure either would work as long as it has a sufficient amount of storage.

Have you guys tried verifying the game files on Steam?

As previously stated, we all have...
"No firewall/antivirus blocking it. Uninstalled, reinstalled, verified integrity of game files, etc. Nothing works." (Even updated drivers for both graphics cards, displays, exceeding minimum requirements for game, etc.)
The only "resolution" myself and others on this thread have been using is installing the game on a different drive. As said, verifying game files does not resolve the issue.

Yes, I did. 922 files verified successfully.
