Cant get Grenade Launcher final piece

When I got to the part where the Grenade launcher drops I picked it up and got 33% toward unlocking it. the second time it dropped I had a level 4 weapon so decided to not pick it up thinking it would give me credit for finding it, but it did not. so the third time it dropped i picked it up and went back to my better gun and got to 66%. it has been 7 days since then and not a single Grenade Launcher has dropped again. I am wondering if because I did not pick up the second one if its bugged and I am locked out of getting it.

Have you unlocked the lower parts yet? If what I'm saying doesn't make sense, you might need to progress as the launcher might be spawning in areas you havent opened up yet.

I am on chapter 5 and 3 parts have dropped I just neglected to pick one of them up :(

I've only found *one* Grenade Launcher total...stuck at 33% for 2 or 3 days now and every chest I open is something else.

Is there any area you gotta grind specific? I'm in chapter 6 by now so...I feel like that thing should show up more common now?

the deeper you go the more often you get the more powerful weapons that you need to unlock.

Does the grenade launcher still drop in the Glacial Passage?

Cause if not then i'm not gonna get a lot of fun there. I did get the Ice Gun multiple times and some pre-modded basic weapons but still no Grenade Launcher.

it took like 10 in game days but finally got my 3rd piece of the Grenade Launcher in the same place i got the other 2, next to the meg shark.
