Cucumber Party

So I have a quest called Cucumber party and it wants me to speak to Otto and I have done this (like a lot, maybe about 20 different times now, both in person and on the phone). He never gives me any information on sea cumbers and there is no way to bring it up to him. The quest expires tomorrow and is done. Is there some other way to communicate with Otto that I am missing? The quest not says to talk to him, since talking to him in person does not work and ringing him on the phone does not work, is there any way to email him?

He doesn't see seeds. Just new tanks to put fish and upgrades for the tanks you already have. Nothing else.

Cucumber party doesn't involve sea cucumbers, it's for cucumbers to get at the actual plant farm. Have you unlocked that farm and the ability to grow crops other than rice?

So it's not sea cucumber but regular cucumbers that you get after unlocking the farm. You probably haven't completed his food mission to unlock it yet.

Ooh I still dont have the plant farm. I havent unlocked it yet. I wonder if the cucumber quest appearing before I have the plant farm is a bug or if they just expect you to have unlocked it at this point. Which is possible, I have messed around a lot and also gotten eaten by things a few times which kind of wastes a bit of game time ;)

Ehhh honestly I don't know what triggers events, I've had certain quests show up way later than they were meant to. Maybe they're to do with you completing certain tasks or the food events come out on a rotational cycle. No clue tbh.

I have the email, the seeds, and the farm, but there isn't any option with otto other than talk. I don't know if I didn't get the farm in time or if it's just bugged.

I think it just happens. You cant do it without the plant farm. I think like other food events it will come up again later.

The cucumber party came too quickly for me, I hadn’t unlocked that part yet. It’s confusing how the game sets it up, makes it seem like a bug.

hmmm, i've updated my build (v1.0.0.959.steam) but i'm still unable to talk to otto ;(

I think the fix might just stop it from happening before you have access to the plant farm. If the quest has already borked and come up before you have access, I dont think the patch fixes that.

I had this exact same bug and played through it before the fix. Don't worry, it won't cause a perma bug in the game. You're going to lose your shot at the cucumber party, but the event will come back, so it's no real loss. Events loop around.

When you get the farm "quest chain", it'll play out like it's suppose to. It won't be affected by the game accidentally triggering the event before the content has been unlocked. You need to advance the main storyline which will eventually trigger a VIP quest which will unlock the farm proper.

Yeah definitely didn't fix it.. I'm on the latest update and just got the cucumber quest.. Yet I don't have the farm unlocked or anything so I'm kinda sol. 😔 Sucks but is what it is I guess.
