Controller support?

I cannot get a controller to work for this. I've tried enabling and disabling steam support, adjusting settings, restarting, re-downloading. I'll have to return this and not play. I was really looking forward to playing this tonight and I'm stuck with no options.

Same problem here. It doesn't detect my dualsense on mac, while steam is detecting it properly and all buttons work fine in big picture menu. I have bought this game just because i can play with pad, because my mac is a macbook and i don't have a mouse.

Same problem for me. I'm using the Mac version and a Stadia controller in Bluetooth mode. The controller is paired my with my MBP, it works in Big Picture mode, and all buttons and sticks work properly in Steam's 'Test Device Inputs' utility.

Dave the Diver does not seem to detect it at all. No indication in the settings menu that I can select a controller, and no response to any buttons. I've tried with Steam Input and without.

Hi, the gamepad issues should have been fixed with the latest hotfix. Did you update your game to the latest version?

Following up - at a friend's suggestion I tried an xbox series x controller, and it works great. I was hoping to be able to dedicate my spare Stadia controller for Steam, however, so would still love to see a fix for this issue. I'm glad that I can at least play with a gamepad now, though.

Bummer of an issue. I am trying to use my 8BitDo controller and it doesn't work. Maybe I'll dig out my other Xbox controller but the 8BitDo is a standard and it works for other Steam games. ☹️

Using DualSense myself, I didn't encounter any problems. Weird. Howerver I play on Windows. Maybe it's a Mac thing?

Using DualSense on a Mac right now and it works perfectly for me. I have all the default settings. I've gotten it to work both wired and bluetooth

Yep, it works fine with my Xbox controller on the Mac. Just the generic 8bitdo controller doesn't work. Not great but hey, it's an edge case for sure. There's probably 3 people on the planet trying to do this.

Controller works fine here. Have tried xbox controller on PC and also Steam Deck controller, works on both.

MacBook Pro and Xbox controller here - does not work in Dave the Diver (works in Steam, until game loads).

My Controller works fine and the game correctly identifies the buttons, but I would REALLY appreciate the option to change the input mapping.
Having one of the main 4 input buttons be how you Aim and then using the RT2 to Fire for example is something I'd really like to switch.

Same here. I'm using an 8bitdo controller and playing on mac. It's working with the rest of my games, not with Dave the Diver.

Seems to be a mac issue. Wireless PS5 controller working fine on Windows version.
