Did anyone figure out how to capture this FishMon?

Was that the teleporting one? If not I think you just have to tranq it to capture it

An alternative method (I didn't have enough materials to craft the tranquiliser sniper gun) - you can use the tranquiliser sticky bomb, chase the fish with the countdown timer into the jellyfish and it can also knock it out.

Yes, the teleporting one. I tried a tranq gun and didn't seem to work for me.

Sniper works like a charm though!

Yes, the teleporting one. I tried a tranq gun and didn't seem to work for me. Maybe sniper is the solution :)

I do think the guy does recommend using a sniper rifle yes, the tranq sniper is quite nice until you can get the best hand tranq gun (allows you to make large fish/mammals sleep in 2 hits)

I accidentally skipped the dialog haha, but sniper worked like a charm :D

I got it with flaming sniper. I don't think damage matters that much; feels like there's a good gap between "stun" and "death" state of damage.

Confirmed can be caught with just a harpoon shot aswell, just let it get close enough to hit it,

I got it with the sensor bomb trap, which "knocked it unconscious"! Heck yeah

I was very lucky to find a sensor bomb trap in a box and done the trick

After hundreds times of trying with trans gun/harpoon, I found the sensor bomb trap in the chest and it worked perfectly in one shot

NOTHING worked for me. hush dart didnt work. it teleported before the dart could reach. Tranq sniper also didnt work. it teleported AGAIN before it could reach. sadly couldnt find any of the sensor bombs. it kept giving me triple axels :(
