For any late game divers, did the game introduce new mechanics to capture the following species?
Species unavailable to breed in fish farm (can't find fish roe):
Purple Sea Urchin, Sally Lightfoot Crab, Bluespotted Stargazer, Spider Crab, Megalograptus
Species unavailable to 3 star on Marinca:
Marbled Electric Ray, Sally Lightfoot Crab, Bluespotted Stargazer, Spider Crab
Species I can't find after multiple runs:
Seahorse from Hydrothermal Vents

the only one i found is the thermal seahorse ruby seahorse, rarely spawns AFTER mining a ruby(the fire one) node

This game DESPERATELY needs a Wiki. I'm surprised a more robust one hasn't popped up since it's been in EA. Like one does exist, but it's like a tiny handful of basic tutorial articles, nothing more.

Upgrade your dart gun and net gun to the sea people version. The steel net gun (probably the steel trap from cobra too) can catch the crabs, the dart gun (might take two darts) can tranq things like the electric ray for pick-up by your mini sub. The electric ray's hitbox makes it difficult so you might need to swim around a bit to get the sub prompt.

I crafted my own Steel Net Gun and was able to catch Marbled Electric Ray, Sally Lightfoot Crab, Bluespotted Stargazer, and Spider Crab.

I was able to tranq Marbled Electric Ray before but couldn't find the angle to initiate drone. But the Steel Net Gun makes the prompt for drone easier.

I was lazy and didn't craft the Modified Hush Dart. Could you test whether the dart works on crabs as well? If not, then I would suggest people craft Steel Net Gun for convenience.

Also, do the crabs have eggs to harvest for fish farm? I ran several dives but had no luck. Don't want to waste more time if they could not produce eggs.

ruby seadragon will spawn rarely when you mined the ruby/fire node in hydrothermal vents.

This special netgun...does this arrive in the campaign....or is it from doing various missions (like the board) ?

Just wondering since I'm currently stuck on the stealth mission but haven't seen that gun...but I also know there's 1-2 areas I haven't seen =)

0046 and 0047 will be available once you encounter a storm shark party.

I think it is gated by a sub mission. You need certain material once the Sea people workshop becomes available

Ah ok, I haven't gone that far in the campaign then I guess since the blacksmith is still sick =)

The lightfoot crabs are immune to darts, but both tools are very useful to have. I dunno re eggs, I don't seem to have those species in my farm but then I haven't put much effort into getting them, I just got them for the 3 star marinca.

How I got three star crab stargazer and stingrays : fully upgraded netgun that use steel net;) I came back looking for where to get ruby seahorse

After firmly starting to believe that seahorse 608 simply didn't exist, that it was a myth, a figment of the developers imagination, I found it, just sitting there in a random room in the depths, around 180ish meters. So just keep looking I guess.
And the stalactite cave is the "Limestone Cave" area, where you can find seahorse 613
