How do I serve food to special guests?

I have the morray eel guy and talking doll girl sitting at my counter every night, and despite having the specific item they want on the menu to serve, they just sit there. When I engage their text bubble, it just lists the item and 0% satisfaction. How do I serve them a meal?

If you have the correct item, put on the menu, they will order it and you deliver it to them like a normal customer. Then a cutscene will play where they eat & react to it

Like I said, I have it on the menu (even has the pink ribbon icon to indicate it's a special item). All the other patrons around them are ordering the same dish and getting served (I'm busy doing tea, beer, and wasabi while the waiters do their thing). Do I have to personally hand deliver it to them from the chef or something?

Ok - I think jeromocles has said TWICE now that the item IS on the menu. Sheesh! Must be another issue. I'm not that far into the game, so I'm no help. I hope you get it resolved. I'm following this thread to see what the problem turns out to be.

yea i'll be playing soon, i'll get to that point to see for myself. serving the shark head was not an issue..

Just remember, YOU have to serve the item, staff won't.

So add the dish to the days menu, they walk in (or already sit down), then Bancho will make it but the staff won't pick it up so you have to !

No problem, I realized it myself when the first quest was just him and I had a server and they did nothing =p
