If you stay on top of its gloves and between the eyes while hugging the ceiling, it can't hit you.

What you wanna do next is bait its long winded punch to expose its eyes, you can do this by going at the front then going back up to the safe spot, once it does its long winded punch, go down to its eye level and unload on it.
Ignore the mechanics but don't forget to top off your hp when it does the super punch of BS because everytime it does that, it will jump to where the punching bag is and you'll get hit.
This is the way.
I had to redo the fight at least 5 times. I was having an issue with pulling the wrecking ball, where I grabbed the line and no matter what I did, randomly Dave just wouldn't move even though he was in the animation of swimming. Then the most frustrating was when the shrimp did get stunned, the bullets from the sniper rifle would go behind the eyes instead of hitting it. I had to beat it with the harpoon.
I ignored the wrecking ball completely. Too frustrating to do and just cheesed it using the method I posted before kek
Boss fights with the giant creatures do not feel good, because they have a HUGE hitbox that hurts you like crazy if you barely touch them, and they constantly wanna be touching you like an obsessive ex.
If the shrimp wasn't trying to trade tongues with me at all times, maybe this fight wouldn't feel so cancerous, but because he wants my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ vocal cords, I have NO room to maneuver or anything.
And if I attempt the cheese method from above, he just rapidly backs up and does a quick punch at me over and over. I can't get over his gloves/eyes area without him becoming Speedy Gonzales and zipping backwards to evade
You gotta back em up to the other side of the room, once it's cornered that's when you bait for the long recovery punch. I stayed on the safe spot for most of the fight coz my gun is short range but if you have a sniper, you can probably get away with it and not do the cheese.
First thing to know are it's safe (by small margin) zones: right above it's eyes while hugging the ceiling and right below the joint where it stands. The safest are right above it's eyes, there's a sweet spot there where it won't move backwards and it's punches won't hit you. Below it is ideal for getting ammo, but it doesn't stay safe since it jerks forward.
You're best bet is to go in with the octopus bracelet since it gives you small speed boosts. As far as weapons, the sniper rifle was the easiest for distance and power. Having either oxygen tanks or scooters is also handy, since it does move fast and take a lot of health.
Your best bet it to mainly stay close to the ceiling. That way is easiest to avoid most punches and let you take a brief breather. You want to guide it to the middle of the room, closer to the wrecking ball. If it's all the way to the right, you won't get to the chain in time, if it's all the way to the left, you're fighting it and the spikes.
You need to swim in front of it enough to trigger it winding up for a punch. The octopus bracelet and scooters can help avoid the punch and give you some distance. After the punch, it will pause with it's gloves down to give you a small window of time to shoot it's eyes. When enough damage is done, it'll wind up for the super punch and the chain for the wrecking ball will come down. Use your boosts to grab the chain and pull the ball up. The shrimp will punch it, giving you a little longer time to shoot it's eyes.
An ammo box will fall during every super punch. It should land right in front of or right below it.
I went into this fight very ill prepared except for the bracelet and oxygen tanks and lucked out getting a sniper rifle from the weapon box. After several times dying, this is what worked for me. Hope this helps!
Nah, I mostly ended up using my harpoon instead of sniper. Of course, as soon as I left that comment ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about the fight, I beat him so shrug, but hey. Duly noted if I ever have to fight that bastard again
the shrimp can and will go into a punch loop if you try just stay above, first back him into the far back wall after that move forward just past the upper glove he cannot hit you but will do his third swing type which lowers his guard i move to avoid it not sure if required you get one two hits never more, don't try, rinse repeat.
when the shrimp push the water try get in front of it if not it slam the wall randomly till you are in front . DON"T BOTHER WITH THE CHAIN.... it crap. it require lot effort to try pull it up and if you do you got swim back to boss before he reset guard not worth it.
when i did win it the game bugged and destroy literally all the ammo pickups their was 3, i got zero... i won by using the harpoon was doing around 25 dmg a hit think. i had scatter gun before ammo ran out. did not count dmg total before it died was to busy trying focus on not repeating the fight.
the dmg the boss does overall is low but it hard to avoid, also be very careful of the cutscene when the boss goes into rampage slam area mode you WILL take dmg none stop i died few times to bad placement and boss did that animation i was dead before it ended...
If you struggle with the Shrimp maskot of a boxer...get ready to bite into your keyboard encountering Klaus. Awaiting your comment already Sir!
