Controller does not work randomly
EDIT: Seems like today's patch (03.07.2023 hotfix) fixed the controller issue for me even with steam input enabled.

Is it just me or does the game just suddenly stop recognizing the controller? I'm using PS5 controller via USB and the game randomly stops detecting the controller. The input layout changes to controller buttons, but the controller doesn't do anything in-game.

Alt-tab -> controller doesn't work
Plug in another USB device while the game is running -> controller stop working

I have to use the keyboard to save the game, exit and relaunch the game to get the controller to work again.

This is the only game I have this issue with on steam.

Could not get my 8BitDo SN30 Pro+ controller to work at all. But i am on M1 macOS. If anyone has a solution, i would be happy.

Edit: Love the game and so far it plays very well with trackpad, btw.

Haven't had any issues on my M2 Air... using a PS5 controller connected via bluetooth. Sorry :(

I also have a similar error to you. My ps5 controller doesn't work only in this game and I do not know how to fix it @@

Same thing here. Also PS5 controller! Using Bluetooth on Windows 10.

If you disable Steam input for the game in the controller settings (found in the Shift+Tab overlay) that seems to fix it.

Can confirm this fixes the problem, hopefully they patch whatever weirdness is causing that.

Thanks a lot for this post... Usually I am playing on SteamDeck but today want to continue playing on my PC and after been playing some time the controller appear as disconnected even when the led on my Xbox controller was turned on as connected.

Until I disable Steam overlay the problem is solved... it was very weird as the controller is not recognized by the PC not only the game or Steam.
