The "Sweet" spots

I'm noticing that it's increasingly more difficult to use a drone to pick up a subdued shark. Is it just me? is it the game's mechanics?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to report a bug.

I tranque the sharks or squids or whatever and then I keep finding and losing the prompt to press Q and call in the drone, then the darn thing wakes up and ends me. It's very aggravating. Please Help.

This seems to be a bug they "fixed". I forget what update it was but, they seem to still be working it out with other fishes.

Very annoying problem. Especially when it takes so long to find it that the shark wakes up again and starts hitting me because I am right on top of it.

I find that it mostly happens with tranquilizer weapons(though not the Tranq Harpoon Tip thankfully).

The Humboldt Squid for example when I tranq'd it, had a very tiny sweet spot on its head that was very difficult to position into and the squid just wakes up before I could drone it.

It's why I almost always dive with the Steel Net Launcher and just look for the Tranq Tip in weapon crates now.

No it still happens with the tranq harpoon sadly. Already enough of a hassle fighting big sharks with a harpoon, without the risk of them waking up because you can't quite hit the right spot for the drone.

Really? I use it all the time to tranq Dunkleosteus, Greenland, Porbeagle, basically all Big type fish that require the drone and they all have pretty large spots for droning when I do.

Well, I just fought with a megamouth shark less than twenty minutes ago, and had this exact problem. Tranq'ed it with my harpoon (as I carry the steel net gun for the cookie cutter shark, my real target) and could not get the prompt to stay long enough to call the drone and it woke up. Took a ton more shots to get it back to sleep and managed to call the drone although the prompt still fought me.

Huh. I haven't had to catch the Megamouth for a while now, not since the new update at least. I also keep 4 of them in my fish farm and there's not much need for them in any of my recipes other than sushi and there are better fish for that.

The only fish I go for in the Depths are Stargazer, Crab and Cookie Cutter so I have enough space for fish in the Glacial Area and Hydrothermal Vents plus the Megalograptus.

I've seen that once or twice - seems to be when I use the steel net but who knows!
