Storm Events and other quests clashing.

I know that if you fail a quest in the game it will either give you a another chance at it later in a few days. Or it will just insta fail you and let you try instantly if its something your not allowed to fail like for story progression.

However twice now in a row i gotten mission failed on 2 diffrent storm missions. 1 for the Revenge time on the white shark and other was when the Fish card guy wanted me to go in to the whirlpool and fetch a rare fish card for him. I been told i will get them again but its been days and not much as a peep from the quests.

And both times i failed cause they storm night happend exactly on the same night as a VIP guest + a fish typ festival event. One was with Mical bang and Marlin event.

Other was with the Rapper and Shark event.

So far this game been an absolute blessing to play. And i doubt this will ruin the experience for me. BUT

TDLR: Is this the game just pissing on me? Or do everyone run in to this issue of the quests clashing for your attention on your limited night time?

it happens sometimes, depends on your personal rate of progress. The calendar events are fixed to days (obviously), vip's are story progression based (i think) and storms are random. As you can do multiple things at once during a day it's entirely possible for them to clash or never clash, it'll be personal to you based on your own rate of progress.

You can still dive on the same night as a vip visit, it doesn't change anything, the vip will still be waiting after your dive.
You can also still dive on an event night but i get why you wouldn't want to as it reduces the time you have to serve customers.

Me personally if a vortex night clashed with anything i'd still dive for the vortex quest, worst case is you make slightly less money from the calendar event, not the end of the world.

As for the vortex quest coming back, it will, you'll just have to wait for the next storm, they have no fixed timing as far as i'm aware so it's just a waiting game. I personally did them all first time they appeared so don't have first hand experience but i know 100% they can't be missed

I get the VIP since they story driven and unlock more mechanics of the game. So diving only loses me some time for serving which doesnt affect them.

But the special fish events? They will happen again? Is it random which one occurs or do they like follow a list and just repeate when they gone through it?

There is a set progression for the first time through the list, an event every 5 days. Once every event has occurred one time, I think it's random which one shows up next.

Yeah I just got hit with the: "Revenge Mission: Failed"

Not impressed with that because I was just happily chilling and taking my time with stuff and didn't realise it was timed.

Yes. I done all of them now. Twice SATO been asking me to go fetch Rare Marinca card. ( A boss card ) And the old lady came back a few days later and told me.. Ahh a Storm you can go again now. And I did.

So far diving at night only seem to remove a bit of time for selling at the Sushi Resturant. So the only time its not worth it to night dive is when you got a money ( special fish event). However you later get a second resturant and its at that point the money will flood in allowing you to sorta buy everyrthing.

I went from struggeling to get 10 000 to getting like 25 000-30 000 every night.

So maybe one should not care to get money early on and just push on with quests and missions.
