Ok hold on....I just unlocked the Village today and I tried leaving the village to the west/left but when I go to the left of that outside area there's like a gate in the way so I can't get out there....are you supposed to? (I kind of thought it was perfect to have the mirror to go down with so I didn't have to swim all the way down but then I couldn't leave the village without porting back to the boat)
And yes I swam to that gate and there was no light to show there's a door and there's no popup saying I could hold a button to leave.
If you now tell me you have to swim up to leave I'll be annoyed =p
Once that's done, you can take the gate to the Wolf eel arena, and vice versa.
After harvesting the Clione queen, the game will play a short scene, then automatically return you to the boat.
If you're talking about a similar looking door on the left edge of the dephts, that one's related to a later sea people quest involving a seaturtle.
Again, my memory is very blurry on when exactly the village gate opened, but i'm certain it was pretty much on my first visit there.
I teleported back and got the ball for the kids in that way instead so it worked out but I was hoping for that shortcut to work =)
And yeah, I've done the flowers for the statue, I've picked up the song slate (which I did while also getting the ball), I got 2 of the seahorses but couldn't find the last 2 yet (didn't look very hard), I also finished the food delivery
If you meant "grate" then i can't remember seeing one, honestly.
Either way, good to hear it's solved.
The Clione Queen, and also the goblin shark, bug out when hit with status effects during the fight.
Solution: Either bring only weapons without elements, like quattra axle, or hit the corpse with a harpoon.
Well solved as in, I teleported back but I still don't know how to leave the Village without teleporting =) But yeah, porting works for now.
Edit: yeah this is me being stupid, you swim upwards, I just noticed (and remembered) =p
Second edit, I assume that that's what Dark is saying in his comment which is still awaiting analysis....so thank you for the help Dark =)
I edited my post earlier so yeah....it's all good =) Thanks for the help
Took me like 30 attempts. Now the objective is bugged (shooting her corpse with my harpoon doesn’t work, I can’t get any kind of action out of her or the photo) and now I am slowly suffocating in her chamber and trying to Google my way out of it.
I was in love with this game an hour ago, it’s going to be really hard to get back to that feeling. Why would you spring such a hard (and inescapable) boss fight on players when load out is so important to being able to beat her?
edit: I figured it out, I’ll leave the above for posterity to convey how frustrating the situation was. I did not realise that my oxygen was not depleting after I defeated the queen. Eventually, after about 5 minutes of spamming X on her and the photo, I got the event to trigger. What a bummer this was.
Which reminds me: why is it so hard to trigger O2 or weapon chests? I really discovered this when I was trying to get air and guns before she killed me. The “am I trying to open this” detector needs to be way more sensitive.
Sigh, sounds like EXACTLY my experience tbh.
Id clocked up a load of hours on the game (Without even getting far!!!) coz i just loved the "feel" of the game. I didnt stress myself with completion etc>, just enjoyed swimming around, lol. Unfortunately my experience with the Clione Queen totally killed the entire game for me! Im not even sure why it impacted me so negatively tbh, coz i WAS lovin the game. I played every, single day, for at least a few hours. It was part of my "chill-out/de-stress" time.
Even after seeing possible solutions here i never went back... :(
Sad to hear the issue still isnt fixed tho mate :/
