Save File location

Lets say theoretically, a friend wanted to import a save file of this game that had been played elsewhere to another computer. Where would that save files be at and what parts would be needed to replaced?

It seems that there are more files that needs to be more replaced.
Or does it have to be the same steam user for the saves to work?

By moving that folder to another PC, the only thing that is updated is the quest you are in, but not the character's progress. Something is wrong here.

How do I share a saved game with a friend then?

I mean if you don't mind getting into your files and moving / deleting stuff, you can manually back up your save files / put your files and your kids' files into two separate folders and copy-paste yours to one, delete the originals from the game's storage, then let your kids play and make their own files. Game saves are located in C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\nexon\DAVE THE DIVER\SteamSData\[random number folder]

I make a separate folder called 'backups' alongside the numbered folder and then just switch out files as needed (for me its not because I have kids, I'm just paranoid and I saw some stories on here of cloud saves disappearing so I covered my ass just in case).

Search for that location, those are the STEAM save files for the game, there (be sure to have deactivated the cloud auto save and after that close Steam completly) ok, now you have to paste your ... notsteam version savefiles on that previously mentioned folder
---> C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\LocalLow\nexon\DAVE THE DIVER\SteamSData\[random number folder] , you can replace the already existing files , but I chose to delete everything and also from my recycle bin first and then only then paste the files ... launched Steam, launched Dave the Diver ... all old advanced game saves where there, worked like a charm :D , thankyou Bastard
