How do you get shark eggs

Game description says to knock out fish via nets and tranquilizers but these never work on sharks.

Just harpoon fish. You will get eggs from catched ones when you get back to the boat. Dont know the rates but i drown in eggs every time.

Can confirm harpoon works to get shark eggs. I killed the megamouth shark a few times with guns and got nothing but 2 star meat. I harpooned it to death and after the second attempt I got an egg.

I can confirm killing sharks with guns also gives you eggs maybe a fewer ammount but thats the way i kill sharks only with guns and i´m the daddy of about 30 happy sharks in my Fishtanks^^

I just cannot for the life of Dave....get any more Copper or Black Tip sharks?? Got singletons in the farm, just cannot get any of these other 2 sharks to bite!

Are they a night time fish?

Yes certain species only come out on night dives some of which including sharks and lots of predators.

It seems that fish eggs will be found when they are caught for the first time,The chances of shark eggs appearing are not very high compete to normal species.There are two kinds of sharks that only appear during night fishing.If you want to raise sharks, you only need to catch two of the same species. They can breed by themselves. I already have five tiger sharks.
