game doesn`t start

When I start the game, steam says it is running the game but I don`t see anything on the screen. No window, no fullscreen, nothing.

having the same issue, when it does launch its a black screen after the mint rocket logo with the steam game version lower right

I can get into the game but crash after the first dive when there talking about the bar

go find the davethediver.exe in the "Steam\steamapps\common\Dave the Diver" right click and resolve compatibility, game start for me now, maybe it will help

I'm also having this problem and can't seem to fix it. I've been trying for 4 hours now. And I still have gotten nowhere.

I just installed on my wife's pc its working for now.
im no tec head only thing i can point out is that she is on windows 11 i was on 10

I switched my DaveTheDiver.exe to run in Windows XP (service Pack 3) mode.

Same issue, steam says it's running but program won't start up. Compatibility troubleshooting doesn't work. Really weird since the previous demo versions of the game had no issues like this

Same, I tried running the compatibility test and it choose windows 8 and I'm on Windows 10 . Didn't work. Game doesn't load just says running in steam page. Hopefully the dev fixes this soon otherwise will refund.

What I've found is that it can be incredibly slow to start.
From clicking run, it takes almost exactly a minute of what seems to be no activity at all, before it finally starts.

yeah it boots up slow
I hope they can fix this soon my wife nabbed her pc back so now i cant play again
deleted my save to try and get it to work on my rig with no luck

i'm using windows 11 and I get the message as I try to launch the game "An internal exception occurred (Address: 0x1c06d2) please, contact [e-mail]. Thank you!"

Any idea on how to fix this?
