Hey again, platformers!

The whole team here at Sunny Peak is excited and happy to finally lift the curtain of secrecy, by announcing the collaboration with Headup for our first game Symphonia!

In this 2D platformer set in a musical realm, embody Philemon, the mysterious violinist. Face the many dangers that await you by using your violin and its bow, in the hope of finding talents to form a new orchestra!

Some of you may already have heard about Symphonia quite a while ago. That's because it also exists as a student game released in 2020! That’s right, initially, Symphonia started out as a graduation project, and after working all year long and releasing the game, many players were able to share their love with us.

A few months after releasing it publicly, the team decided to gather once more and found the development studio Sunny Peak. We wanted to build our first professional project together, and keep working on this musical universe we loved.

Since then, new faces and talents joined the team, to help us create a game we can all be proud of. We hope you will enjoy the game as much as we enjoyed making it. ❤️

Student game origins?

Is this an expansion/reimagining of the 2020 student game of the same name as a commercial project? Musical greetings, platformers!

We are Sunny Peak, and we proudly welcome you to our very first game Symphonia! ːsteamhappyː

Imagine a world, where music acts as a source of life and energy. But since the founders and their orchestra vanished the inhabitants are divided, and the world slowly falls into silence. What if there was a way to gather a new orchestra? That's the question Philemon, the mysterious musician in Symphonia, will have to answer.

A completely non-violent experience, Symphonia integrates music into every element, from the gameplay and hand-drawn art to the mechanisms controlling the game world. With violin and bow in hand, you’ll jump, bounce, and explore a poetic world and activate the machinery of the realm to bring it back to life.

If you want to get a first glimpse of Symphonia and try the game yourself, you'll get the chance at next weeks gamescom in Cologne from August 23 till August 27. We will share further information like the hall and the booth number with you as soon as possible!
