A few Q's (Soul mode, dungeons, coins, and crafting)
Hey all. I've only done a few runes so far, all Ascent, and Floor 15 is farthest I've got, and have some questions.

I read in the sticky post the description of the game modes. Is there a break down of the upgrades that Soul mode has? I suppose I can just try it out and find out. But I also kinda just want a general idea of what the permanent upgrades are besides randomized stats. Are they the same multiple choice upgrades after bosses (gold, stats, I forget what else I saw...a potion or weapon of some sort?)?

The dungeons are randomized. Is their respective difficulty static regardless of what order they are in? Or does a dungeon and its boss's difficulty scale based on what "slot" it is in the Spire? So far, having got to a 3rd boss, it seems to be static?

Coins...do you only actually have them in your inventory if you have a bag of gold? I've picked up coins before and they didn't appear in my inventory, I think b/c I did not have a bag of gold.

How do I craft/combine things? I have a lot of trash and can't figure out how to combine or try to combine stuff. I see the little empty circle slots at the bottom right of inventory, but nothing seems to happen when I click on them.

Thanks for any and all help!

Hey, glad you're having fun with the game!

The Soul mode upgrades mirror the boss rewards exactly, so it's either +3 points to a random attribute, a random amount of gold, or a random Power for that run.

The difficulty scales, more or less, with the level of the dungeon you're in. It varies a bit per mode, but it does tend to get harder the further you do in the spire. If you're in the same floor as a previous run in the same mode, then overall the difficulty should be the same.

All gold picked up, including coins, is stored in the money bags. To combine items you simply drag two of them to the Combine Slot, and a new item will pop up there. The first item placed there matters for the result, and all items can be combined somehow.

You're welcome, and good luck!

bumping just to ask - is there any way to cancel a charged attack that has not been released yet?

And how do you move around items on your belt slot? Neither Interact 1 nor Interact 2 do anything besides use or unequip. Using XBox controller.

Just do a Dodge with the A button, and it'll cancel out all animations, even staggers!

To move items around, you have to enter the inventory and just drag and drop them with the cursor, using the analog sticks and the A button.

You can also press a number key while hovering over an item in the inventory to bind it to that slot.

A quick key for combining is the Middle Mouse Button.
