3rd Person aiming/shooting?

This game has lovely 3D models of vehicles, just wondering if it's possible to aim with them in 3D without it going into the zoom/sight mode? Would be lovely to see these great looking models in action.

Yes. It is not possible at the moment.
There are games like Call to Arms and Tokyo Warfare and Armoured Warfare where you can control tank turrets in 3rd person. But not in this game yet.
Not sure if the devs will add it as they want to go for realism.
But maybe if enough people request it.

That's a shame because the models look really nice, it would be a shame to hide them behind the scope view.

That would be cool, about realism anyway, this game has several things that aren't, and well, after all, ARMA3 can be played entirely in third person
